TPO Mobile Back to School giveaway

It’s that time of year again—back to school we go! Whether you’re back in the classroom or the lecture hall, we’re here to help you get back in the groove.

At TPO Mobile, we’re not only fond of education causes—we’re dedicated to actively supporting them. Like Nelson Mandela said:

“Education is the weapon you can use to change the world.”

If you’re going to be serious about education, what you need is the right weapons. Chances are, you’ve already got hold of your stationery. You’ve got your journals, textbooks, and even your mobile phone. But you’re not ready just yet. How are you going to keep everything in one place?

Here’s what we think: what every student really needs is a reliable backpack. It keeps everything together, is fitted with a cool solar panel that charges your phone, and looks like something from the future. We’re thinking of a brand new Birksun backpack. Not only are they specially built for utility—they’re stylish as hell, too. Take a look.

If you’ve ever wondered how you’ll survive a class with less than 10% battery, then we understand each other perfectly. This is no longer a problem with the Birksun backpack, fitted with a solar panel that stores charge as you go about your day. Just plug yourself in and do your thing. Imagine that!

Want one yet? We do!

My best first day of school story was for my 9th grade year. I grew up in a part of town in Southwest Atlanta that didn’t have the best reputations for schools back then, so my mom made me go to a school 2 hours (yes 2 hours) away–by bus in North Atlanta. Now by car it was probably a 1 and a 1/2 hour long trip, but still long nonetheless. Now I was always a biiiiig nerd (still am) so I couldn’t wait to go to school. Shopping for “back to school clothes” was so much fun. I used to even sleep in my new shoes, with my feet dangling over the bed, because I was so freakin’ excited. I know, W-E-I-R-D. So anyways, all that night I couldn’t sleep. I tossed and turned just thinking about what the first day of school would be like. My outfit was perfectly laid out on my dresser and I was so ready. When it was time to wake up, I eagerly jumped up ready to start the day. My mom had to leave for work before me so she told me to make sure I watched the clock. The bus would arrive at X:X time. Well, being a big girl now I told her I was fine, after all, I was a freshman now!! I made sure my look was perfect but I didn’t quite like the look I had so I changed clothes. Looked in the mirror and didn’t like that look either. I needed something cool so I changed clothes yet again…and again…and again. Eventually I settled on something I like. Just then I checked the time. Oh no! It was past the time the bus would arrive at my stop! I ran out the door and up the hill to see the bus pulling off without me. I immediately went back in the house and phoned my mom, crying. “I missed the bus! I missed the bus!” I asked her if she would come home to take me to school. My mother, in her no-nonsense-attitude-tone said, “Child please. You’ll just have to wait until tomorrow.” I literally cried all the rest of the day. So in the end I missed my first day of school. Well, at least I had my outfit all picked out for Tuesday. Ha!

#TPOBack2School I never really had an exciting first day. I was always very nervous about new classes, new teachers and sometimes new people.
